Clearwater
The smallest of the three principal cities that make up the Tampa Bay area, Clearwater is situated due west of Tampa and northwest of St. Petersburg in between Tampa Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. The city is separated by the Intracoastal Waterway from Clearwater Beach. Valued for its central location and easy access to Tampa, Clearwater offers a diverse blend of housing and price ranges to suit every budget.
Present-day Clearwater was originally the home of the Tocobaga people. Around 1835, the United States Army began construction of Fort Harrison, named after William Henry Harrison, as an outpost during the Seminole Wars. The fort was located on a bluff overlooking Clearwater Harbor, which later became part of an early 20th-century residential development called Harbor Oaks. Harbor Oaks remains a sought after address and is a favorite for physicians and staff of nearby Morton Plant Hospital.

Coachman Park is located in sparkling Downtown Clearwater behind the main library. This waterfront, open-air venue provides a magnificent backdrop for concerts, festivals and exhibitions throughout the year. It is also host to Clearwater’s annual Fourth of July Fireworks display and Clearwater Jazz Holiday.
